Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Roanoke Hollins/I-81

Donna was absolutely incredible to work with. She was professional, patient, and genuinely helpful every step of the way while assisting me with booking my room. She made the entire process easy and stress-free, answered all of my questions promptly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Her kindness and attention to detail truly stood out. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience—thank you, Donna! Breanna was great too when I checked in.

Very clean, convenient, and safe. Great breakfast with lots of variety. One of the best stocked waffle bars I’ve ever seen at a hotel!

This hotel was excellent from start to finish. The lobby was spotless and beautifully maintained, giving a welcoming first impression. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic with a wide selection of options. I especially appreciated the oatmeal station there were plenty of toppings to choose from and everything was well stocked, including yogurt and different types of milk. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Even though we were located right next to the elevator, we didn’t hear any noise at all. With younger kids in tow, I was relieved that our room was tucked between the elevator and ice machine room it made things easier when they were playful and energetic. The staff truly made the stay wonderful. We were mainly helped by Donna at the front desk, and she was absolutely fantastic—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Another detail I really liked was the stairwell: clean, carpeted, and well-lit. Since I prefer taking the stairs, that was a big plus.

I stopped here with my dog in the middle of a cross country move. Despite it being homecoming weekend at VT, they were able to find a room for us. The ladies at the front desk were absolutely wonderful! Super friendly and helpful, and even offered my dog a Pup Cup (her favorite thing!). She also got a cute goodie bag with some treats, a small toy, water, and poop bags. After a long day on the road, the kindness really uplifted my mood. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom was super clean. It was my first stay at a Fairfield, but certainly won’t be my last. I want to add the Mountain View is stunning. Thank you for a great stay!

Love this place! Dog friendly, clean, easy to get to off of I-81, great staff. Layout is great, stairs at either end with keyed access for quick access to your vehicle without using main entrance . We always stay here on yearly road trips from GA to northern NY State to see family.

We had a great experience, we arrive late and there lad were six of us in total. This hotel is a perfect overnight on a road trip. are perfectly nice and it has breakfast. The front desk staff was accommodating and welcoming. it’s right off 81, so easy in and out.

These might not be the best pictures, but those folks were working hard, and I was fresh out of the shower with no hairbrush. The important point is that we are all smiling because the folks at Fairfield Hollins have become like my hotel family in the Roanoke area. They make sure that everything is working for me so that I can be comfortable, share friendly conversations, cook me breakfast.... Wait a minute, they really ???????????? like family because they treat me like they care. I had a good visit and shared some laughs with Oscar and Tara. I enjoyed some friendly conversation with Mae and Jackie. LaChysia was helpful and kind every time I saw her, Donna is full of smiles, and Brianna was a pleasant and friendly welcome party at check-in. Parking was easy. My room was comfortable. Oh! Did I mention the cookies? I am just asking. I look forward to my next visit.

Recently, a friend and I stayed at Fairfield Hollins for several days, and it was a pleasant experience. The ladies who welcomed me and checked me in, Donna and Tara, were friendly and fun. I even sang some Ritchie Valens with Donna. Mae did a big kindness for me while I was there. I am not going to say what it was because then you all may expect it, and Mae does not need that kind of pressure. LaChisya was very pleasant each time that I saw her and also helpful when my telephone stopped working. Oscar, the maintenance man, was kind and cheerful, and we shared some laughs. Jackie did an excellent job keeping breakfast stocked, and I enjoyed my fill. I do not know who cleaned my room before I checked in, yet it was clean and in good condition. While I am not sure what was Fred's role, he was on top of things keeping trash emptied and doing tasks around the hotel. Plus, he had some friendly words and held the door for me as I left. Y'all, I was so pleased with this hotel that I am booking another stay. See you soon!
